This speech was given by Rep. John Lewis at the March on Washington in 1963. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFs1eTsokJg Mr. Lewis was then a member of SNCC who was with Dr. Martin L. King when the famous "I Have a Dream " speech was given. John Lewis was with Dr. King on Bloody Sunday in Selma, Alabama when the state police beat marchers as they tried to cross the bridge. Mr. Lewis was beaten so badly he had to have a metal plate in his scalp. He is now a member of the US Congress.
